VARANASI: “The opposition parties already know that the lotus will bloom in the urban local body elections, that’s why no big leader of SP, BSP, Congress is campaigning in the elections,” said deputy chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya while addressing the New Voters’ Conference organised by BJYM at the BJP regional office in Rohania on Friday.
Maurya said: “The opposition does not have any issue, and development is not their priority. They do not believe in good governance and their sole aim is to promote corruption, crime and mafia. In such a situation, the public has rejected them.”
He added that if the youth unite with full force, then there is no doubt that BJP will emerge victoriuos on all the 100 seats of the Varanasi Municipal Corporation.
“Breaking all the previous records for mayoral post, we have to show such strength that the parties which are thinking of alliance against us in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, sink in despair,” he said.
He further said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a target to the youth in the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence that in 2047 India becomes the most developed country with the largest economy.
“The world is looking towards India and the youth of India. We have to first decide what our role should be for the future. Today’s youth wants development, corruption-free governance and strict law and order, and all this can be given only by the BJP,” he said.
Maurya asked party workers to go from door-to-door and meet the first time voters and make them familiar with the party’s ideology and goals.
