VARANASI: A well-known cricket coach, Ram Lal Yadav alias Dada, was shot at and injured in the premises of DAV Inter College at around 5.30am here on Monday by some unidentified persons.
He has been admitted to a local hospital, where his condition is stated to be critical. The police are investigating the matter.
According to reports, as per routine, Yadav, a resident of Kabirchaura area, had gone to the college ground to train children when two unknown miscreants present there shot at him and fled through the college gate, waving weapons.
Hearing gunshot, local residents reached the site and rushed the coach to a private hospital.
