By India Today World Desk: At least six people were killed and several others injured in a blast near Afghanistan’s foreign ministry in Kabul on Monday. This is the second suicide attack near the ministry in less than three months, AFP reported.
The blast occurred in front of a business centre near the foreign ministry.
Italian non-governmental organisation Emergency, which operates a hospital in Kabul, confirmed it had received two dead and 12 wounded, including a child.
The attacker was identified by Afghan forces but the explosives he carried detonated and killed six civilians and wounded a number of others, the ministry said.
TOLOnews reported that three Afghan armed forces personnel were wounded in the suicide attack that took place near a security checkpoint in Malik Asghar Square today. According to eyewitness accounts, it was a heavy explosion.
