Varanasi: At least three persons, including a woman, were killed while two others suffered injuries when an autorickshaw and a tractor collided near Ibrahimpur canal under Kotwali police station in Bhadohi on Tuesday night.
SP Bhadohi Anil Kumar, on Wednesday, said the auto driver died on the spot while two passengers, including a woman, died on the way to hospital. The two injured passengers have been admitted to the district hospital and are out of danger, he said. The tractor had been seized and search has been launched for the tractor driver .
According to police, auto driver Sunil Pandey (35) was heading to Gopiganj from Gyanpur after boarding Tanu Srivastava (42), Murlidhar Dubey (48), Deepak Gupta (41) and Anil Kumar in his vehicle. The auto was passing through Ibrahimpur canal when a speeding tractor hit it. TNN
