2023 Maruti Suzuki Super Carry launched at Rs 5.16 lakh: India’s most powerful mini truck! – Times of India



Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. has launched the 2023 Super Carry mini-truck in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 5.16 lakh (ex-showroom). With the introduction of a new engine for the light commercial vehicle, it has now become India’s most powerful min-truck, with a best-in-class power output of 80.7 PS from the 1.2-litre K-Series Dual Jet, Dual VVT four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine.
This is the same engine that is also offered with a few of Maruti Suzuki passenger cars, including Ignis as well as WagonR, however, in a different state of tune. This engine pushes out 104.4 Nm of peak torque on the Super Carry. What’s more, the mini-truck can also be had with an optional CNG kit straight from the factory. A 5-speed manual transmission will remain standard.

In CNG mode, the power drops down to 71.6 PS while the torque reduces to 95 Nm. The new Super Carry has a maximum payload capacity of 740 kg for the petrol version and 625 kg for the CNG model. The equipment on offer includes front disc brakes, reverse parking sensors, seat belt reminders, an engine immobiliser system, a flat-seat design and a 5-litre emergency petrol tank.

The Super Carry mini-truck will be available exclusively at Maruti Suzuki’s 370+ commercial outlets spread across the country, and can be used across multiple applications including e-commerce, courier, FMCG and goods distribution amongst others.
